Manager- Compliance - Beximco Textiles Division - Gazipur

Job Description / Responsibility
The person will be required to successfully carry out the Social Compliance related functions of a number of companies (Yarn Plants, Woven/Knit/Denim fabrics/ Garments manufacturing capacities/Washing Plant etc.) under Beximco Textiles Division, which is South-East Asia’s largest vertically integrated Yarn, Fabric (Woven, Knit, Denims) & Garments Manufacturing capacities with state-of-the art set up, which has been supplying a wide range of world-class RMGs to many up-market buyers/brands in the USA and Europe for more than a decade. The incumbent should have hands-on experience in the following functions:
Prepare/upkeep/ develop various factories (engaged in the production of yarn to RMGs) in accordance with the customers’/Local Law’s/ILO’s as well as company’s requirements.
Being physically available as a facilitator during the Social Compliance and C-TPAT audits conducted at the factories by the world renowned buyers and their nominated representatives.
Taking the overall responsibilities of the social compliance issues at all the industries (2 Yarn units, 3 fabric plants and 7 garments units) under Beximco Textiles Division.
Ensure that the social compliance audits done at the factories are come out as successful ones.
Supervise and monitor all compliance functions done at the factories.
Periodically conduct compliance audits at factories to assess where the factory stands, identify areas to improvement/non-compliant issues, recommend/ assist in rectification and follow up to check if the implementation and correction is done in due time.
Keeping in continuous touch with the key P & A personnel at the factories end regarding the Social Compliance/ CTPAT issues.
Maintaining constant rapport with the buyers and feed their requirements on day to day basis, delivering Corrective Actions Plans and explanations (if any) etc.
Monitoring the day to day compliance functions and supervise the officers & staffs involved.
Grievance handling of huge workforce (workers only) of the entire Division (Beximco Textiles Division) and uphold the human rights of the workers employed throughout the factories.
Supervise, Monitor & Undertake Industrial Safety, Health, Hygiene, Ergonomics, Social Awareness, Workers’ Rights other related trainings.
Implement company’s policy and procedures under his functional area in every possible way.
Represent company on various issues and communicate with the Ministry of Labour, BTMA, BKMEA, BEPZA, Labour Court, Customers and their representatives etc.
Review and update company’s policy and procedures (related to Social Compliance and C-TPAT issues) in line with the changing needs.

Educational Requirements
MBA/ Masters from a highly reputed national/international university with excellent college/school background

Additional Job Requirements
Age 35 to 45 year(s)
Minimum 7 years of experience in Social Compliance functions involving Top-bracket brands/ customers in the USA/ Europe. At least 3 years of experience in managerial positions with a very renowned group supplying to high-end customers or very renowned buying house (ones with industrial exposure will be preferable).
The person must be very familiar with C-TPAT requirements and procedures.
The candidates with experience (social compliance functions) in Yarn/ Fabric manufacturing plants (in addition to the garments arena) are encouraged to apply.
Experience in carrying out social compliance functions of diversified production capacities, (i.e., Yarn / Fabric /Garments / Accessories manufacturing /Washing /Printing / Embroidery/ Packaging etc.) is highly desired.
The person should be very thorough about the current Local Labour Law, related ILO Conventions and should have solid experiences in handling the CoCs of majors USA/ European customers.
Solid experience of workers’ Disciplinary Actions and Payroll Issues is a must
The incumbent must possess outstanding investigative abilities and huge experiences.
A sound knowledge of Industrial Safety, Ergonomics and other related trainings.
The position requires an excellent Report Writing and documentation ability.
Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
Good MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Access) and Strong analytical ability.
Must have tremendous maturity, a very high degree of discretion and intense investigative capabilities.
