Job Description / Responsibility
Chemonics International (www.chemonics.com) was founded in 1975 and is one of the largest U.S. consulting firms providing expertise in developing and emerging-market countries for initiatives financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Chemonics International Inc, a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks technical specialists for long- and short-term assignments for an anticipated USAID-funded local governance project in Bangladesh.
Technical specialists will be responsible for developing and implementing technical activities in one or more of the following areas: decentralization and local government capacity building; municipal and communal service delivery; civil society strengthening; and media training and development.

Educational Requirements
Advanced degree in a relevant field

Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following: local government and civil society strengthening; advocacy; gender considerations in public administration; civic education campaigns; and media training
Experience working collaboratively with a broad range of government officials, international donors, and civil society sector stakeholders
Experience working on donor-funded projects
Recent experience working on USAID-funded democratic local governance programs preferred
Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work and travel in remote areas of the country to oversee program implementation and provide technical expertise
