Job Description / Responsibility
As a Manager of the Web Application Development, the candidate will work closely with developers, operations, and management to ensure projects are delivered on time and with quality, while meeting business goals and objectives in a rapidly changing environment.
The Manager will lead projects from inception to completion, by working closely with customers to understand their business goals and developing (and managing) the project scope and requirements.
The Manager will drive the project success by assembling qualified teams, working with the teams to develop plans and tasks, and managing and tracking the tasks to completion.
The Manager will also be responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving or mitigating risks and issues that might block the project.
Communicating internally and externally well and thoroughly is a prime responsibility of this job.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus; Graduate level education preferred.

Minimum 2 year(s)

Deep customer-facing experience, including negotiation & relationship building
Proven ability to gain deep understanding of customer business goals and objectives
Proven ability to manage and control scope, with experience in requirements-gathering and validation
Superlative written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills (internal and external facing)
Schedule creation, management and prioritization, handling multiple projects concurrently
Issue and risk identification and resolution
Organizational skills – ability to handle complex projects with many moving parts
Possess excellent follow-through, commitment, and accountability
Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
The ability to execute and drive to completion in the face of obstacles
2+ years of project management of web application development projects on 3 or more full life-cycle implementations
Minimum of 1 year leading projects using Agile methodologies (preferred: Scrum)
Working knowledge in Object Oriented PHP and MVC Frameworks (CodeIgniter/Zend Framework)
Working knowledge with JavaScript/AJAX libraries (jQuery, Prototype, YUI, Dojo etc.)
Working knowledge in optimizing websites for scalability
Familiarity with source control systems (preferred: Subversion)
